CREATING A NEW VISION FOR THE ARTS
Born: 1931 in Mt.Vernon, New York.
Sold my first painting in 1945, and have been painting, exhibiting and selling my work ever since.
Formal Art training: 3 years at the Franklin School of Professional Art.
One year at the National Academy of Fine Art. Both in New York City.
I then spent four years in France
developing, exhibiting and selling
my work.
I returned to the US in 1958. In 1959 I moved to Big Sur, California where I lived and worked for many years. I now live nearby on the Monterey Peninsula, painting, exhibiting and selling my work.
My heros are the Folk Artists whose bright, clear, bold works always give
life a resounding "YES!"
People ask me why I paint.
affirm life,
enjoy myself,
promote aliveness,
sell my work.
THE VISION:
What would ART look like in a world
that worked for everyone with nobody
and nothing left out?
