CREATING A NEW VISION FOR THE ARTS
Born: 1931 in Mt.Vernon, New York.
Sold my first painting in 1945, and have been painting, exhibiting and selling my work ever since.
Formal Art training: 3 years at the Franklin School of Professional Art.
One year at the National Academy of Fine Art. Both in New York City.
I then spent four years in France
developing, exhibiting and selling
I returned to the US in 1958. In 1959 I moved to Big Sur, California where I lived and worked for over 20 years. I now live on the Monterey Peninsula where I continue to paint & produce graphic works.
My heros are the children and Folk Artists whose bright, cheerful artworks always say "YES" to life.
People ask me why I paint.
to celebrate life,
to promote enjoyment,
to sell my work.
What would Art look like in a world
that worked for everyone ?
